The box is built entirely out of walnut. The boxes construction utilizes miter joints on the four corners, and dado joints for the lids. The wood was cut entirely on a table saw, while any sanding and polishing was done by hand. The lid is connected with brass hinges. The box also features cherry wood splines cut into the four miter joints. The final process included three coats of walnut oil and two coats of Beeswax polish.
